Tate Modern 53 Bankside, Southwark, London SE1 9TG

Spanning nearly five decades, and coinciding with the artist’s 80th birthday, Gerhard Richter: Panorama is a major chronological retrospective that groups together significant moments of this remarkable painter’s career.

Curated by Tate Director Sir Nicholas Serota and Mark Godfrey, it includes portraits based on photographs, abstractions, subtle landscapes, colour charts, works on paper, mirrors and three important glass constructions.

Gerhard Richter was one of the first German artists to reflect on the history of National Socialism and these works will be shown alongside many of Richter’s most ambitious abstract paintings.

Join Contemporary Art Society Director Paul Hobson for a special introduction and visit to the exhibition.

Please note that it is essential to book your own ticket in advance of the visit. Meet in the Turbine Hall.
