Artist Talk — Eleanor Moreton

Join Director Ceri Hand and artist Eleanor Moreton for a tour of her exhibition Im Wartezimmer (In the Waiting Room), featuring a series of new paintings. Moreton’s paintings draw on historical events, international fables, memories, literature and found images.

Her distinctive use of colour, washes and brushwork serve to highlight the sense of absence in every image, moment and relationship — from romantic landscapes to people-free, yet haunted interiors.

Moreton has exhibited widely and in 2008 was selected for the prestigious John Moores Contemporary Painting Prize.
