Considering Contemporary Indian Art

We are delighted to be able to announce that we will be rescheduling the National Network members trip to India for November 2009. This seminar, for curators and collectors, is an opportunity to get an insite from specialists on the economic rise of India how this has affected the art market, current trends in artistic practise, the artists response to working to the travelling curator and the new global audience of biennials and art fairs.

Bringing together academics, specialists, curators, collectors and artists, this workshop will offer a deep insight into the underlying thematic concerns, ideas and forms of contemporary Indian practice, and an opportunity to meet specialists in the field.

This event is not exclusively for the network members coming on the trip, but if you are considering joining us in India, we think it would be beneficial for you to attend this event. From talking to others who have attended or led curator trips we have been advised that the more research you can do in preparation the better.

OPEN TO MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS

£60 fee to attend
