In Conversation at Gasworks

Following on from our visit to Olivia Plender’s show TINA at the Drawing Room last year, and after seeing her work in Altermodern at Tate Britain we are delighted to host an evening in conversation with
the artist on the occasion of her solo show at Gasworks.

For this exhibition Olivia has developed a new video
installation, which will investigate the history of mass public spectacle. Her research examines the birth of the modern museum and the pre-history of television by focusing on the British Empire exhibition, which took place in Wimbledon, London in 1924.
