Tour & Talk — Anish Kapoor Flashback

White Sand, Red Millet, Many Flowers
9 April 2011 14:00 — 16:00
Manchester Art Gallery Mosley Street, Manchester M2 3JL

Turner Prize-winning Anish Kapoor is one of the UK’s leading artists. His sensual and beguiling sculptures are created using a range of materials, including pigment, stone, polished stainless steel and wax.

This is the first major exhibition of Kapoor’s work to be held outside London in over a decade. Selected by the artist, the exhibition features important works from the Arts Council Collection alongside works from major UK collections and from the artist’s studio.

Manchester Art Gallery is the launch venue for this Hayward Touring exhibition, curated and organised by the Arts Council Collection.

Join us for a tour of the exhibition with Natalie Rudd (Sculpture Curator, Arts Council Collection) and for a chance to hear more about the Arts Council Collection, which includes works by major British artists of the 20th century, and continues to acquire innovative and significant work by emerging artists today.

We are delighted to be co-hosting this event with Manchester Art Gallery.

Please note there will be a £12 charge for this event.

This is a North West Members event. For further details of this event and Contemporary Art Society North West Membership please contact Mark Doyle, Head of Collector Development, North West - mark@contemporaryartsociety.org
